Valentine goodies

A bit late, but here is the little goodie bag I put together for my children for Valentine's day. Purchased cellophane treat bags filled with Hershey chocolates, chocolate covered fortune cookies, chocolate cherry bark, and white chocolate covered pretzels. Then to jazz it up a bit, I put together a few hearts cut out on my Cricut Expression, taped them to a lollipop stick and used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors to cut a band of silver metallic paper to create the streamer effect. I think they came out pretty darn cute! The idea could translate to many holidays or occasions... little bears for a baby shower, bunnies or eggs for Easter, stars for the 4th of July etc.

I just love packages in the mail

Don't you ? I used up some Cricut Reward points last week and ordered the Asian Cuttlebug bundle. OMG! I saw this first when it was packaged with the blue version of the Cuttlebug and fell in love with it. Last week, when I went to redeem some reward points ( I have gotten some really great things by wracking up my reward points ), I saw they were offering the Asian bundle as a possibility. No second thinking here, I clicked on that order button immediately. Yesterday , my package came with the Fed EX man. Don't you just love the Fed EX and UPS people? I do. I really, really really do....

Naturally, I had to give them a run through.... I inked over the images so that the designs would show up a little better. I don't know if I have stated this on my blog before....but in addition to my distress ink addiction....I also have a Cuttlebug embossing addiction. It is hard for me to make anything without embossing it in some way. These will definitely get a workout.

The embossing folders in this collection are Plum Blossoms, Oriental Weave, Kimiko, Bamboo, Japanese Scales, Mandarin Screen, Koi, and Lanterns

Marching band layout

Here is the project I completed at our monthly scrapbooking night. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I am also happy that I actually finished a layout during this time. Generally speaking, I get side tracked and end up socializing most of the evening... but that is okay as well...it is girls' night out. We should enjoy it. Right?

Recipe:12x12 white cardstock background, black cardstock cut to 9x12, pictures mounted on white cardstock, title/music scale cut from the Hannah Montana Cricut cartridge in blue, border cut from silver metallic DCWV paper at 1 1/2 inches x 12 inches and embossed with the Stars cuttlebug folder, name cut from silver metallic with the Pooh Cricut font, white jelly roll Sakura pen

Cards for kids

I gathered a few of my cards together as a sample of what I am sending. Snow White , Winnie the Pooh, boy playing baseball and the hearts were all cut with my Cricut Expression, The stick figure boy is a stamp from Me & My Big Ideas, the little girl is a Basic Grey stamp and the monster is from Recollections.
